2026 SOAR Training

SSI/SSDI, Outreach, Access, and Recovery (SOAR) is a nationally recognized best practice model for helping people apply for Social Security disability benefits at the initial and reconsideration levels.

February 24th and 26th from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The Benefits of SOAR Training 
SOAR approval rates in Colorado are 65% on average, which is significantly higher than approval rates for people that apply on their own.  Approval is only 35% at the initial level for the general public and drops to 10-15% for those experiencing homelessness.  In addition, knowing the application process helps individuals obtain benefits sooner, maximize their back pay and monthly benefits, and helps individuals understand and connect with other important supports, such as ABLE accounts, benefits counselors, employment specialists, family and estate planning services, representative payees, and more! 

Resources Provided
Trainees will be provided slides, exercises, guides, workflow models, SSA forms, and are eligible to join every other week TA calls to help further their growth.
