Rocky Mountain Village relies on volunteers throughout the year to help with many different aspects of the summer camp program. We are looking for both volunteer groups- such as church or school groups, as well as individual volunteers.

What do Volunteers Do?
       Assist in the cabins with campers,
       Work in program areas (such as Arts and Crafts or Fishing),
       Work with our maintenance staff
       Work in the kitchen
       Arrange a special work project, and leave their mark on camp!

Who can Volunteer?
All volunteers must be at least 16 years old, and we are looking for volunteers who are able to devote a whole week of time- Sunday through Friday.  We provide room and board for that week, and volunteers are able to gain experience with people with disabilities in a fun and rewarding manner.

What if I can’t spend a whole week at camp?
In non-summer months, Rocky Mountain Village runs several respite programs including four discovery clubs- located through out the Denver metro area.  Discovery Clubs are day long programs for kids age 6-21 with physical disabilities.  We are looking for volunteers for one Saturday a month at one of our locations.  Volunteers can sign up for just one Saturday, for all 9 Saturdays at that location, or for any number in between.

Rocky Mountain Village also runs respite weekends in the non-summer months.  We have a need for volunteer counselors for these sessions, which run Friday afternoon to Sunday afternoon, and include many different activities from swimming to skiing, and even a girl’s only slumber party. Please check the Respite schedule to see when the sessions are active.

How do I Volunteer?
All volunteers need a current application, two written letters of reference, and a cleared background check. A volunteer application and reference forms are available below.  Please be aware that not all summer weeks are available for volunteering, and that volunteers may be limited based on need.
